lyrics

losing the night

never apologise to me
never explain and never weep
never to late to change your mind

‘cause I’m three kinds of tired
can’t we leave this tonight?

never the same things that i see
it hardly means anything to me
it’s never to late to start again

‘cause i’m drowning inside
and i’m losing this fight

so please can we just get comfortable?

remember the good times not the bad
remember the elegance we had
never too late to try again

‘cause i’m just beyond tired
and we’re losing the night

so please can we just get comfortable?

are we losing the night
and hiding in daylight when it comes
are we losing this fight
just hiding in daylight when it comes
are we losing the night?
when it comes are we losing this fight?
just drowning in the daylight
why must we always lose the night?

something’s dying inside
let’s not do this tonight

can’t we just say we’re tired
let’s not lose us this night

let’s not lose us this night
always losing the night

about

thewhiskeyarchive Brisbane, Australia

thewhiskeyarchive brought together the vocal, musical and songwriting talents of ukulele songstress Jane Cameron and singer/songwriter Mark Bentley.

The result was a blend of smooth, smokey indie folk with a hint of alt country and a nod to the punk/goth influences of Brisbane's music scene in the '70s and '80s.
